Lydia started her career as an analyst on HSBC’s Global Graduate Programme. During her 10+ years with the Group she enjoyed many challenging and varied roles in Commercial Banking, Wealth Management and Insurance with leadership roles in many of the Group’s major centres; London, New York, Geneva, Singapore and Hong Kong.
She obtained her ‘real-life’ MBA working as a strategist in the CEO’s office during the financial crisis; an extremely fluid and demanding environment, where she witnessed first-hand the interaction between financial institutions, governments and the communities they serve.
Lydia is passionate about people and trained as an Executive Coach after being inspired by a kind-hearted mentor. In her coaching work, Lydia brings a deep understanding of performing at the highest-level in complex situations, when time-critical decisions need to be made to achieve lasting success. Her approach is to provide a safe environment in which clients can explore issues and create strategies to achieve further success; enabling them to fulfil their true potential.
She appreciates the complexity of working in large global corporates and the innate challenges this presents especially in changing regulatory environments. She also relishes working with smaller, often family-focussed, businesses drawing on her experience as a trusted advisor in Private Banking.
She lives in Oxford with her husband and two small children.
